Cloud Computing

Cloud applications (or cloud apps) are software programs where the data processing and storage occur on remote servers rather than on a user's local device. They are accessed through a web browser or a lightweight app, providing, at minimum, partial remote processing

Key Characteristics of Cloud Applications :

  • Access & Mobility: Accessible from anywhere with an internet connection, facilitating remote work.
  • Scalability & Flexibility: Resources can easily increase or decrease based on business needs.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: Reduces infrastructure costs, with often, pay-as-you-go or subscription-based models.
  • Automatic Updates: Service providers handle maintenance and security patches.
  • Data Security: Data is stored in the cloud, preventing loss if local devices fail.

 Aspects of Cloud Applications:

Architecture: These apps use a client-server model, where data is stored and processed in remote, third-party data centers.
Access: Users need a stable internet connection to access the application and data, which ensures portability across devices
